Redox Signaling Science
-
Why do they call it Redox?
Redox is a short-hand combination of the words “Reductant” and “Oxidant” which are the two types of molecules that are responsible for the electron-transfer-protocol which allows for many of the complex-life-functions of cells to be carried out.

What does cell signaling mean?
Cell signaling, as denoted in the redox signaling molecules explanations we discuss on this site, refers to cellular communication which allows for cells to detect, protect, repair and replace themselves to the aim of improved health in our bodies. The signals themselves are transferred electrons which are either given or received by the Redox Signaling Molecules (RSMs).
-
Is cell signaling redox signaling?
The term: Redox Signaling is one specific, and very important type, of cell signaling, but not the only kind of cell signaling. Redox Signaling Molecules allow for Redox Signaling to take place inside our cells, allow for certain communications to take place that allow for complex life to exist. Cell signaling is a more broad term which can refer to Redox Signaling or other types of signals or communications which may take place within a cell.

How are redox signaling molecules made?
Redox Signaling Molecules are created inside the body, by the mitochondria of each cell, during the Krebs cycle. These are the “byproduct” of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) which is the main energy supply of our body, but in fact they are not simply a byproduct but in fact a crucial off-shoot of the ATP cycle. Only mitochondria could produce Redox Signaling Molecules until ASEA finalized its breakthrough, patented process which allows for the synthesis and stabilization of Redox Signaling Molecules outside of the body using ultra-purified Salt and Water which are brought through an electrolysis process.

If my body already makes redox signaling molecules, why should I use a redox supplement?
Though our body is constantly producing its own Redox Signaling Molecules, the fact is that as we age, our mitochondria become weaker and more sluggish and produce fewer and fewer Redox Signaling Molecules every year. As factors such as environmental toxins, physical and emotional stress, dietary toxins, and radiation take their toll on our bodies, our cells become compromised and the healthy balance of Redox Signaling Molecules is lessened. This is why supplementing these amazing molecules with ASEA and Renu28 is so important, because it allows our body to recover much of the benefits it felt when we were younger.

How are redox signaling and gene expression related?
ASEA contracted a leading genetic laboratory, Tauaret Labs, to conduct a double-blind study which would test the genetic impact of using 8oz of ASEA per day for healthy individuals. The results were astounding. It was found that 100% of the test subjects that were using the ASEA for an 8-week period of time received a 20%-31% enhancement in their gene expression in terms of signaling pathway activation, which was proven to benefit five major areas of the body: Immune System, Inflammatory Response, Cardiovascular Health, Digestive Health & Hormone Modulation.

So what is gene expression?
Hidden inside the nucleus of each our cells is our DNA. This DNA is also known as our “Genes” which are the blueprints of every part and process of our body. Gene Expression is literally the “reading” and “copying” of genetic codes by mRNA in order to send these blueprints throughout the cell in order to properly function. ASEA has been proven to make this process work better, which creates a more fluid environment for the Genes to express and therefore leads to better cell function.

What is a gene pathway signaling?
Gene Pathway Signaling is a biological chemical process by which epigenetic factors are able to send and receive signals which cue them to carry out certain functions aimed at maintaining proper health. These chain reactions allow for changes in the environment of the cell to lead to intelligent responses by the nucleus via gene expression and replication. Enhancing this process is the specific way that ASEA was proven to affect gene expression, as balanced Redox Signaling Molecules are needed to perform this function.
